I ran shortly after a light spaghetti dinner, as Barrie wanted to head out with me before he ate his dinner. The spaghetti sat well in my stomach during the run, but it was still quite warm when we headed out at about 6:30 -- around 26deg/C. We ran an ~9k+ loop from Barrie's for a total time of 45:00. I'd have to guess that it was probably a 4:50ish/k pace, with a steady 1K incline thrown in there too. The highlight of the run was definitely the last k, which was downhill, in the shaded woods.
Watch update:
After tearing our house apart for the last week, searching high and low for my Polar watch, something a bit weird happens. I open up a junk drawer in our kitchen, where I usually kept the watch, a drawer that both my wife and I have searched a number of times, and there it is..... laying in plain view! Cue the Twilight zone theme music sil vous plait. The whole episode reminds me of Poe's, The Purloined Letter, where a stolen letter is hidden in plain sight, and could not be found. I am certainly no Dupin!
