15K in the rain

Weather like today's is what gives the Wet coast it's name. I avoided running this morning which in hindsight was probably a mistake, because when I got home at six this evening the rain was coming down pretty good. It also was getting dark soon, so there was no time to waste. With a slight cold and cough, I stood under our porch for a moment mustering up the will to get moving. After a minute thinking of my lack of options if I wanted to get a run in, I headed off down the street. The rain is never as bad as you think when you just get moving in it. It's always that first step that sometimes is the hardest.

I ran for ~15K on the roads around town, and finished in the dark and the seemingly ever falling rain.
