Easy day on the XC trails
Went to the XC course and met up with the Monday group. It was to be a light shake out run for me, as I've had three days in a row with some harder stuff and just wanted to stay loose. I warmed up with the group for 3K and the ran a series of six loops, primarily with Lisa, to make a total of ~9K. It was a nice run, just running comfortably and not caring too much about pace or distance. Lisa did take me to school on the downhill portion of the course during one loop, but it was a gentle run overall, especially compared to Patrick and his brother Charlie who were putting the pedal to the metal. During one loop, Patty ran a 2:55 min -- he was cooking! Because he was cooking, a group of us went down to the ocean to chill our legs, soaking them for a number of minutes. I'm not one to tolerate any kind of cold for too long, but it certainly felt good afterwards.
