The run after the run

Met up with Patrick N. and was introduced to his friend Josh from Vancouver Island, and went for an easy run of about 8K plus; running for 41:37. It was a beautiful, sunny, fall afternoon, and you couldn't make a single complaint about the weather, which is usually an easy thing to do this time of year. We eased into the run and by the end we were moving along at my usual easy pace. Patrick had a fairly rigorous track workout yesterday, so he was willing to run with me as his legs weren't the freshest. My legs felt really good considering, and a bit of tightness in my right calf muscle worked itself out after a few K. The way my legs feel after the Sunday race is a good sign to me of my better overall condition as compared to the same way they felt after the 1/2 marathon last year. I'm going to give my training a lot more consideration in the days to come.
