Tempo run in Vancouver

Traveled to Vancouver today and we were greeted with beautiful weather, though it turned foggy and cold later in the afternoon. I ran at the Point Grey High School track this afternoon while a girl's soccer game was being played. I had lots of spectators, if they chose to watch me --which they weren't.... Most of the people gathered on the inside lane were kind enough to move off of it after I had completed a few laps. The track there is only a few months old, it's asphalt, and has no lanes or markings of any kind. I do know the curb lane is 4oo m and I was able to go with that.

It was a Tempo run today, and by comparison to my last quality day on Friday, this felt great. The workout demanded of me today was something of familiar territory and it showed, as my pacing was pretty spot on. It was a fairly demanding workout, but very satisfying when completed. My legs felt great today, conditions were excellent and I had a spring in my stride as it were. Of all the types of quality workouts, it's safe to say the tempo workout is my favourite. 10K total today with a new tempo paced run in the mix.
