Today called for a quality workout, and being out of town my only choice was a track workout. I made my way to Point Grey High and ran while a boy's soccer match was being played. My "B" drills were far more successful today for some reason, the legs seemed to do what I wanted them to do, and this despite not using the advice from anonymous. One small problem with the track today was a twist on the usual habit of people crowding lane 1, as this wasn't really occuring; no, an entire set of bleachers were dragged by the young spectators, watching their teenage hero's, and interfering with lanes 1-3 on the far side of the track. In the end, this was but a small obstacle for my workout. I just went around the problem. This probably helped my intuitive running.
My pacing today was far superior to last week's track work. I was very close where I needed to be, and was able to complete a bit more of "the sheet music", as my coach would say. Sheet music being the longer quality running as opposed to the shorter stuff which would be the "scales". I was fairly happy with my effort as my form didn't disintegrate quite as quickly with the better overall pacing. A good workout.

Congratulations! It is a treat to hear that pace is feeling more natural.
