Track day

With a new plan in hand (literally), I had a cheat sheet, and with this I completed my first quality day at the track this evening. Without the sheet, my oxygen deprived brain easily forgets simple math. Actually, I don't think math would come natural to me if I were in a hyperbaric chamber. The session went fairly well and it will be interesting to see how the legs respond for my easy run tomorrow.

With the increase in faster quality stuff, there is one aspect I'll have to wrap my psyche around - there will be a reduction in weekly km totals. This, of course, is natural when thought about logically; but for the past number of years I've been methodical about tracking weekly/monthly/yearly totals, and there will be an inevitable dip. I've been given a short primer on how to re-think and deal with this "psych" problem.

You'll work through the dips. You are a smart runner. It's a plasure to watch you change as an athlete. Let me know when your easy days are and i may be able to keep up! Lisa
