No run yesterday, as by the time I got home in the evening there was a veritable blizzard outside. The roads were white, the wind howling, snow blowing, and a ride to the gym seemed dicey.
Today though, was different. The weather improved and I went for an evening run with headlamp and winter gear. The roads were mainly cleared, but icy patches kept my pace down. Some of the side roads were better than others as far as ice and slush. I ran in the snow for a couple of kilometers which certainly provides for some resistance training, even with the snow only 3" deep tops. When I moved out of the snow and back on the roads, my legs felt immediately lighter and ready to fly. I ran for 10k and am sitting down for a late dinner.
