The wearing of a wristwatch for me, is, for better or worse, a habit such that it is part of my being, an accoutrement to my skin. I am married to the keeping of time; checking my watch, wondering where I'm supposed to be and when. The sun is just a mere orb intended to light my path, and not to be beholden to for scheduling purposes. I cast aside being ruled by the ancient circadian and heavenly rhythms, as does many of my fellow modern men! Well, maybe not my sleep.
For the next month or so, I'm to not wear a watch except for my track sessions. I found myself 10' into my run with my watch on. I didn't even consider not putting it on today. I resolved not to look at it for the rest of the run, which went well-- the run and the not looking at the watch that is.
It was 5 X hills today, for a total of about 9K. I concentrated on running up the hills with purpose, but flowing with ease.

I've heard of worse habits.
