I know a lot of locals ran this weekend in Victoria (and elsewhere), so I send congratulations to all -- for getting out there and putting whatever it is they choose to put, "on the line" -- be it a search for a PB, or just to have a good time and stay fit. I send special kudos to my sister Jill for running the 1/2 today -- she told me she was going to leave it all out on the course.... I'll let her weigh in on whether she did this.
As for me, I ran 2 x 2k at the track, shooting for 10k race pace. My timing was perfect (not the repeat times, when I finished), as I finished the last 100m of my workout, the skies opened up and sent forth rain that Noah was expecting. The temperature and wind were quite mild at the track, compared to the storm of early this morning. It was nice to have the kids with me at the track, jumping in puddles and chasing Dad.
