Treadmill tests

Yesterday I ran on a treadmill for the first time in a long while. My gym, Avid Fitness, bought a new tready, so Coach utilized it's fancy heart rate functions to perform some testing, with me running at an easy pace.

In short, Coach had me run 3 X 15 minute segments with my heart rate to be tapped out at 130, 140 and 150 for each 15 minute block. The cool thing about this treadmill is that it monitors your HR and adjusts its speed according to the HR you've entered. Here's my data:

HR 130 = around 6.4 mph

HR 140= around 7.6 mph

HR 150= around 8.4 mph

I can't recall if these figures are exact, but these are in the ballpark. Maybe Coach can verify in the comments.

To top off the workout, Coach cranked up the machine to its max of 15 mph, and I ran for 1 minute at this pace. Now that got the legs going! I probably could have lasted for another 10 seconds or so, but my form would have gotten ugly.
