Allow a good workout

In the dark, with red light on my right shoe flashing, I ran 3k easy to Willingdon and Alberni. I turned and ran home hard. My legs were feeling tired from yesterday's run, but after getting out there and moving, they loosened up somewhat. 

Before running home hard, I kept in mind something Coach told me a while back: "allow yourself to have a good workout by keeping that option open, despite how you're feeling". Well, ok, he didn't quite say that exactly, but it was along those lines. I think.
