A teen and me

Ran 8k today sans wrist watch. At about 2k into my easy run, I caught and passed a 16 year old kid, who then took exception and picked up his pace to match mine. I found myself wondering if I should put the pedal down, but decided not to. He tailed me for about 1k, whereupon I slowed so I could speak to him, and, in turn, complemented him on his running. We ended up running about 2k together. A nice kid by the name of Tyler L. It turns out his Dad is a local runner that I know by acquaintance.

Always nice to see a teen out on the pavement and trails.
