Mental tricks to get to the track

Some more motivational problems today, so I began with baby steps. I had to use some mental tricks to get a work out in. I started by walking to the track, as I couldn't even get myself running. At the track I ran on the grass for about 10' and then decided to run some 10k race pace stuff. I decided to run 1k repeats, and when I was mentally ready to stop, I reduced the distance and kept doing this until I had had enough for the day. The details:

3 X 1k in 3:45, 3:42, 3:45 (w/ 2:00 rest between)
1 X 800m in 2:58 (then 1:30 rest)
1 X 400m in 1:28

So, I managed just over 4k at 10k race pace. I'm just happy I got out there and managed some of these paces today!
