Sucking it up

I missed yesterday's run following work. Part of the problem was that we ended up getting Chinese food for take out, and people who know me, know my fondness for this cuisine. The Chinese restaurant is fond of me too. Enough, tomfoolery, to today's run:

12 minutes warm up
12 minutes at 10.2 mph/0.5 incline
2 minutes cool down

Just over 5k in total. During the faster 12 minutes, I almost stopped at 11 minutes, as I had rationalized that I'd just completed 3k and it would be o.k. to quit. I mentally sucked it up, and did the full 12 minutes that I intended before I started. I'm glad I did.
