10 X 200's

The whole family went to the track this afternoon while I did a quick workout consisting of 10 X 200m in 37.5-39 seconds with a 200m jog between. It was raining slightly with a wind, so I ensured my 200m repeats would begin at the 100m start line, so the wind would be at my back for the straight stretch. Whatever helps me get through the work is my sometimes motto! I front-end loaded the workout by going fastest for the first four, which was a mistake. I'd rather have had the final four being the faster reps. Despite this relatively small transgression, I felt rejuvenated after the run, and even had enough energy to race my kids.

I had a chat with Scott G. while he was coaching the kids, and he had an interesting workout suggestion for me I'll toss into the mix in the weeks to come. Stay tuned.
