Sunny at Sunset

I joined the gang at Sunset Park for a workout at what was to be roughly 1500m race pace. Lots of kids came out this afternoon; the majority were distance runners, others were sprinters. At my age, I squarely fall in the distance runner camp. After some exercises, led by an unusually forgiving Lorne, we set out to do 5 X 600m.

With the sun unusually oppressive for this time of year, I wanted to make sure my first rep. was conservative. I ended the workout with my last rep. being the fastest, and for me, this is a feat, and I actually can't recall when this last occurred. Today, I was satisfied with the workout. I showed a bit more mental grit compared to last Wednesday.

Sidenote: I have got to be the worst Burpee executor going, and admit I cheated on one set. Here's two very different versions. I prefer the second one for some reason.

hey, you used the word "unusually" twice in your post and fairly close together.
That's unusual.

gt, I'm impressed that you're paying close attention. The girl in the video was looking right at you, I think.
