This will probably be the link of the week! I've just discovered it, but I realize it's been out there for a while. G-maps allows you to mark the distance on the roads of urban and not-so-urban centers. I marked the 5K on the roads I did Sunday, and I was right in saying that it was short of 5K-- it marked at 4.671K. My coach had guesstimated it at 4.7K, so kudos to him.
I'll definitely add this link to my list on the right hand side of this page.
