At some point

The details:

3k warmup on treadmill @ 7.9mph
4X1K @ 10.5 mph w/ 1:45 min. rest between
1X1K @ 10.6 mph w/ 1:30 rest between
1X400m @ 10.6 mph
1K cool down @ 7.9 mph

I was going to head to the track for these intervals, but the wind came up this afternoon and it seemed easier to get these done at the gym. The last minute of each interval felt mentally tough today, it seemed as if time was moving slow. After completing 5K in intervals, which was my intended amount, I toyed with the idea of a 6th; but after 400m, my mind said no. In retrospect, more than disappointed that I didn't do a 6th K, I wish I had the mental toughness to want to do that extra k. I'll have to drum up some more mental toughness in the future, if I want to see some bigger improvements. It was Ian F. at the gym today who slyly said at one point, "your going to have to throw in that 6th K at some point". This was the last of my pure interval day before the Victoria half, as future weeks will have a mix of paces on my mid-week quality day.

Tomorrow morning I may go to the pool with the family and then later, a run before work. Now, it's off to bed....
