My cup runneth over.....

Here's the view from our dinner table last night.........

and after eating a huge dinner, I had some of this for dessert........

and, of course, this with dinner....

so, it was right that I go for a good run today, after bursting at the seams last night with two helpings of dinner and the carafe of Sawmill Creek merlot passing my lips.

Patrick N. came over just after one and we headed to the seawalk. We ran along the seawalk to the old golf course, where we explored some trails that have been marked for cross country training loops. We ran the 1K loop which seemed hard with its initial uphill, and some other loops that Charlie N's coach has measured and tagged. This 1K loop will be good to know, as I could incorporate it into my training in the future.

With Patrick pushing my easy pace, we ran for 1:00:10, which I would estimate was approx. 4:30/k for the run and ~13 1/2 K total. It's nice running with someone, as the time scoots by and you can push to harder paces so much easier. Patrick was running very strongly, and following the run, he was off for a 1 hour swim and then a 2 1/2 hour bike ride. Now that's serious training!

After the run, I was sure that my system was clear of all that food and wine. A system that's now clear; supposedly, like Marion Jones' system........

In a twist, Marion Jones', "B" sample tests negative. This story, I think, is not finished.
