Ok, maybe you read this blog and don't run. I can't imagine it, but maybe it's true. Here's a 4 1/2 year old from India that trains 10-15km a day and has run 65km in 7 hrs. Child abuse? Or just good base training? You decide.
I'm not 4 1/2 years old and I can't be put away for abusing myself, so I safely went for a run this morning without fear of the authorities. But it wasn't easy. I felt how that little boy looks above -- in discomfort. My legs felt sluggish and heavy, and so I decided this was to be a recovery run. I ran north along the water for a total of 9k and finished at Willingdon Beach where my family was playing at the play ground. So today, I cry the runner's oft heard cry, "I will run further tomorrow".
Tonight Sarah and I celebrate our wedding anniversary at a restaurant north of town, The Laughing Oyster. I'm looking forward to it. My time with Sarah has been the most fruitful and rewarding, even more so than the first time I went under 40min. for a 10K.
