Easy run and timing issues

I ran for an easy 8K around Vancouver and in the endowment lands during a sunny period this afternoon. Got out for a total of 45' with some drills and striders thrown in for good measure. Following yesterday's race, the pf in my right foot flared up slightly afterwards. Today though there is no sign of it, so I'm feeling good about that. My legs felt good today.

------

I'm a bit confused about the results from yesterday's race. The "official" results have me at 37:48. I saw 38:28 when I crossed. My stopwatch, which I did not immediately hit at the finish, but did a few seconds after I finished reads 38:34. I've emailed the timing service, but haven't heard back from them. It seems to me for the cost of the entry, the chip timing is something you should be able to count on, especially on a certified course.

That’s pretty frustrating about the time discrepancy. Did you notice the minor course changes from last year’s run? The start was further up the road and also the little out and back towards the end?

Oh and can you email me a copy of the picture Sarah took of you, Steve, Trevor and I?

Thanks LB

"Should" as a work is closely related to "assume" in my vocabulary. I go by the theory that, you "should" never "assume" anything!

A fantastic run regardless of the time Lawrence. Well done.
