A few days ago, I said to myself I wasn't going to mention Lance Armstrong running the NYC marathon in this blog again. I'm breaking that rule. Well, it turns out he's going to have three high profile pacers during three different stages: Alberto Salazar, Joan Benoit, and El Guerrouj. They're all Nike athletes (surprise, surprise) and are being allowed to jump in mid-race. Jumping in mid-race has always been against the rules. Lance being paced strikes me as weak. You gotta hand it to the marketing prowess of Nike, they've trumped the official marathon sponser Asics and Lance is getting more press than he deserves. The Nike machine just rolls along........it would be nice if the top athletes got as much attention as Oprah, Lance, Puff Daddy, etc. This has all the feeling of a huge stunt.

Wooo doggy!!! That's what I am talking about!!! I couldn't care less about Lance. But to hear that you feel better after a workout than before is good news. And this is the "new" tempo as well.
