Ran for almost exactly 1 hour this morning with Patrick. He has a busy schedule these days so I appreciated his joining me for an easy run. It started to rain about 5 min. into the run, and the skies maintained a drizzle for the rest of the run (and day so far). We did some drills on the seawalk after about 1K.
It was a fairly uneventful run, excepting the moment Patrick tripped on a rock that jumped out at him on the beach trail. He went down pretty fast, but not very hard; at that moment he didn't look much like the runner that's set to crack a sub 33 min 10K soon.
Again, nice to do this run early and have it done. When I got home the family went to the pool; and boy does that hot tub feel good. I'm not convinced it's the best thing for my legs post easy run, but there's no doubting how good it feels.
