It was a sunny morning with just a bit of a wind when I headed to the track for some speedier stuff. By pure happenstance my coach was finishing a workout himself, so we spent a bit of time chatting. Not long after I began my workout, coach surprised me when he returned with a video camera to do some filming of me running. Knowing your being filmed/watched certainly helps with improving your form; you become immediately conscious of your form to a larger degree.... Hmmm......maybe just like a Hollywood celebrity.....
It was a good workout today, I added a bit of distance from the previous week's similar workout.....just a little more sheet music.
A little bit later in the afternoon, I stopped at the gym and watched clips of myself running. It wasn't too bad actually, a little stiff in the upper body I thought, and my perceived level of exertion while actually running didn't come across. The video made me look like I was moving slower than I felt at the time. Maybe this is a good thing?
It was really kind of coach to come back to the track after his workout and film me. Thanks coach! In the next couple of days he's going to see if he can glean anything interesting/relevant from my training logs. That'll be interesting.....
