1.2 k on a fine day

Went to the track right after work this evening, and for a nice change, the whole family joined me. While Mom (Sarah, not my Mom) was looking after the two tykes, I set about to do:

1600m warmup
drills and strides
4 X 1200m w/ 400 m between

I was supposed to do some tire repeats as well, but wasn't organized enough today to get the "stuff" to hook up to the tire. It was at the gym and I felt a bit pressed for time. I'll have to make sure I have the tire accoutrements the day before next week. It was a bit cool this evening after a fabulous day, as my bare forearms were getting a bit numb by the end of the workout. A pretty decent workout.

Running link o' the day:

Video: Elite mile race, Webb runs 3:57.83.The first person to run a sub 4' mile in South Carolina (in apparently windy and cold conditions). Check out his motioning for the crowd to make more noise with 400m to go.
