3K time trial (V. III)

When I met with my Coach last week, one of the changes he made was to my workout today. He had me doing a 3k time trial in order to get some heart rate data to work out training ranges going forward. I felt good warming up in the chilly, but bright windy morning, and Coach turned up to take interval times. Time trial was at 09:15 and I started right on time, with Coach giving it a real race feeling. I ran what turned out to be a lukewarm time of 10:50, taking too conservative of an approach at about the 600m mark, based on Coach's observations and times. I have run this in 10:25 back in mid-August with Patrick's help. We did get the data though.

Later in the afternoon I ran 8K+ easy with my heart rate monitor. Just testing the thing and its settings in preparation for some training by HR. I was to get the day's volume of 14k in, so this additional run was needed. Beautiful, but windy.
