Eight and the gate, then the lawn

I was unable to drum up someone to run with me at 4:00/k pace at Loon lake; as my two potential partners were unable to make it, so I was forced to run alone. I wasn't in the mood to head to Loon lake alone, and desiring to make things as easy as possible on myself today, I ran the 8k on the track. I took it really slow, by briskly walking to the track, as it was a beautiful afternoon to be outside.

I ran 32:14 for 8k. I felt pretty good at this pace, despite some coughing during the run - and couldn't help but think, how not too many years ago, this would have been close to race pace.

The run done, I walked home, rehydrated, and mowed the lawn.
