Better mental fortitude

Today was Tempo pace day, so it was up to the track for some accurate distance/times. I ended up doing a series of cruise intervals for 7K (1X1k + 1X2K...) with a 200m jog between. It really started getting warm by the last k as I was starting to get a dry mouth and throat. I also realized I forgot to put sunscreen on: whoops. I ended up with the following times:

1K=3:54
2K=7:51
1K=3:53
2K=7:53
1K=3:55

All the times were slightly below my target pace. I had decent mental fortitude for a change. A total of 11k for the day and I'm pretty pleased with the workout.

Here's an interesting debate on the use of altitude tents by top distance athletes:

"......soon, the altitude tents and rooms may be banned by the World Anti-Doping Agency, or WADA. The agency’s ethics panel recently determined that the tents and rooms violated “the spirit of sport.”
