Short and sweet

Feeling not particularly motivated today, I didn't make it out the door till after dinner. It clouded over today, so by the time I was at the track, it was beautiful running weather. I warmed up for a couple of k, did a few strides, and got down to the intervals. I did 5X1K with about 3 min. rest between. Those 3 min. go by fast---geesh. Anyway, my splits were: 3:31, 3:31, 3:34, 3:33, 3:38.

I was fairly happy with my effort, except the last one, I let my mind wander and ran out of gas. The first two intervals were particularly fast, as I had to go around several groups of people walking in lane 1. So, it's probably safe to take of 1-2 sec. for those intervals. I'll save the rant regarding walkers in lane 1 for another day. Next week, I'll add a bit to this workout. I cooled down with a 1.5 k run home (for 8k total) --and this one was in the books.
