Storm avoidance

Cowering from the wind and rain, I embraced the treadmill this afternoon. There was little chance I was going to avoid the treadmill today. Driving to work at 4:30 this morning in the midst of the storm had made the treadmill a very strong likelihood. Once the treadmill had been ensconced in my psyche during the 80km/h winds, there was no escaping her robotic clutches. So I succumbed, and ran for exactly 60 min. which amounted to about 13K.

Prefontaine quotes of the day:

“Success isn't how far you got, but the distance you traveled from where you started.

“Don't be afraid to give up the good to go for the great.

You make the treadmill sound like it's evil or something. I'm picturing Darth Treadmill

"Lawrence, set a course for four percent incline...(mechanical breathing)...I want this workout completed as scheduled...(mechanical breathing)"

"Lawrence...(mechanical breathing)...I am your treadmill."

"Noooooooooo!"

The tready can be a boring pain, but here on the rainy wet coast, it's a pain worth putting up with.....
