I woke up yesterday with a scratchy throat, and slightly aching bones. Because I felt a tad under the weather I postponed my run till the afternoon. The bones worked themselves out somewhat and I went out into the beautiful sunshine and ran 5 X my run/surge loops, and followed this up with 10:00 of diagonals at Gordon Park. I became a master of the "kenyan shuffle" during the diagonal rest period along the baseline.
Just as I finished up my 5th surge, Patrick rode up behind me, he just put in 100k on the bike. Yikes. It seems he's dedicated to keeping his fitness the best he can.
It was a good run, depite feeling sub-par. A day off running today should hopefully set me up right for tomorrow's effort.
