Run in the sun

I ran at 4 pm today and it was nice and warm, something I'm not used to; but, I'd like to get used to it. With sunscreen duly applied, I did 6 loops of my run/surge circuit. Also did 10:00 of diagnols at the pitch afterwards -- so about 55' on my feet today. It felt like a tougher run today than last weeks version, I'm not sure if it was my lingering cough, the warmth, or my less than ideal hydration today. I'm going to blame some witches brew of these, with the main ingredient being lack of proper hydration.

....And a rather annoying small blister has formed on the outside of my left big toe. I have no idea why this has happened now.....

Had a chat afterward with Scott G. at the track who's coaching some young female athletes in the triple jump. They've been making big improvements. This must be one of the most technical of the field events. Can anyone name a more technical one?

Definately ... and technically rolled MY sleeves today , bro. Loving this spring weather , it rivals early fall...

I believe pole vault def. has to be the most technical., no?.. what about high jump? The fosbury flop?... ingenius...... I'm usually reserved to being just the mat though...

I think your TC photo was taken just prior to you sprinting by me to the finish, well done! I have a shot of you in one of my photos:)

Good runs this week and I hear you on the heat.

Hi Lawrence;

Check your socks. I find that they need to be retired as soon as they start to "pill" on the inner surface. Next time that you are in, I will show you the cheapies that I get for regular workouts. They are basically disposable.

I was going to comment on the photo as well. That's a wicked shot! You might want to buy that one so that when you are old like me you can show people what a stud you were.

michael: to say I was sprinting is funny.....was that you in the orange singlet? If so, I had no idea....

Lorne: I'm gettin' old like you, I'll be joining your "masters" ranks sooner than I like......
