Run with Greg

Joined up with the Wednesday run club and ran with Greg T. easy for 40min. The legs were a bit heavy, but not bad considering yesterday's track work.

Itsnot -- a problem in the making?

There is a whole lot of snot pouring forth at our house at the moment. Our daughter is sick and has a runny nose that's reminiscent of twin waterfalls. Due to her ill health, I've been feverishly washing my hands at every opportunity. Logically, I know it's a losing battle, and I fully expect Sarah and I will succumb like dominoes. There's microbes flying here -- with every cough, they're being hurled, if not in my direction, they're lingering in the air for me to breathe in at their microscopic leisure.

I did my 11K seawalk run I call "laburnum loop" this morning. It was an easy run that felt easier than yesterday.

Struggle

I met with Lisa M. at the gym for an easy run. We took the slushy pole line and ran the trails. I felt this easy run was a struggle, and Lisa pulled me along. We ran for an hour which felt tough for me almost the whole way.

I booked a massage for my legs, which is something I haven't done in a long while, as my right leg still feels "weak" after each run of the last three days.

Taking it easy....

I was driving to the gym to run from there when I saw Patrick running along the side of the road. I pulled over and made the decision to join him as he still had a ways to go. I ran with him for all but the last k in a 10k+ easy run, which took us along the water and beach trail.

During the run (and after) there's a slight tweak in my right leg, behind my knee and just above it. It's not a pain, but rather feels like it is "weak" or pulled. It's hard to describe. In any event, I will only run my quality session tomorrow if it feels 100% -- this is on my coach's advice. He's of the mind to skip this workout all together given the time of year. I think I talked him into the "only-if-I-feel-100%" compromise. My brief chat with coach today was the first one in a couple of week's, which is always productive for me.
